Amal Clooney and George Clooney are enjoying one of their favorite summer getaways in Italy, the famous Lake Como. On Friday, July 15, they were photographed after docking their boat to head off to the Grand Hotel Tremezzo together.
Though they were just arriving, they were both looking ready for a gala evening. Amal stole the show with her white, sleeveless dress with a mock-turtle neck, patterned with silver squares and finished with an ostrich feather hemline. She left her long brown hair down, and carried a silver clutch in one hand with matching heels. In her ears were a pair of diamond hoop earrings.
George walked holding his wife’s hand, wearing a tailored grey suit with an open white button-down shirt underneath, and a pair of black leather shoes.
The couple were recently seen out with their 5-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, boating together. They were first married in September 2014 in Venice, had their children in 2017, and have made quite a home for themselves in Italy. George had long been considered a Hollywood bachelor and has confessed himself that he was surprised to meet Amal and change his mind about commitment.
“Listen, I didn’t want to get married,” he told Marc Maron on his WTF With Marc Maron in 2021. “I didn’t want to have kids. And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life, and I just fell madly in love… Then I knew from the minute I met her that everything was going to be different.”
In March of 2022, Amal told ELLE.com, “Marriage has been wonderful… I have in my husband a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter.”
Parenting has also been a wonderful discovery for her, she explained.
“It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined,” said Amal. “I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life, and to be a mother—this is how I get my balance.”
