A schoolgirl tweeted about her class releasing a host of black and yellow balloons in memory of the 22 people killed at an Ariana Grande concert on Monday night.
The girl, named Holly, wrote: “Our school set of balloons in memories of the people who have been taken too early… rip angels sleep tight #PrayForManchester.”
However, CBB star Angie didn’t find the adorable gesture all that sweet.
“Really, you couldn’t think of something more environmentally friendly”
The 64-year-old quote tweeted the video of the balloons being released and added: “Really, you couldn’t think of something more environmentally friendly.”
Animal-lover Angie’s response was met with disbelief by her followers.
One follower wrote: “Really????!!!! Just….wow!!!! I’m actually shocked that even went through ur mind!!!”
Another pleaded: “Choose your battles”, while one person replied: “Angie are you really having a dig at this?”
And one person added: “How disrespectful can you get? This was sign of respect for the people who lost their lives? Log off please.”
Angie has yet to speak out on the tweet.
This comes after Piers Morgan caused outrage with his tweets about Ariana Grande.
The GMB host said he “expected better” of the 23-year-old popstar, claiming she should have visited her fans in hospital instead of flying back home from the US.
Ariana has since released a heartfelt statement, saying that she will hold a benefit concert in Manchester for the victims of the bombing and their families.
Meanwhile, Katie Hopkins has been axed by LBC following comments she made about the Manchester terror attack.
