Ant and Dec exit riddle leaves I’m A Celeb fans convinced live shows are prerecorded

I’m A Celeb viewers were up in arms on Twitter last night, as they suspected the live shows were prerecorded.

Certain fans couldn’t figure out how Ant and Dec had made it back to the studio so quickly after announcing the elimination results.

Taking to their keyboards, they wondered how the double act had beaten Kate Garraway to the studio with so much time on their hands.

One said: “Okay Twitter. How do Ant and Dec manage to get all the way over the bridge and in the studio without being out of breath? Is it not really live? Are they superheroes? Are they clones? I’m so confused.”

A second added: “How do Ant and Dec get from camp so quickly back to the studio if it’s all live?”

Viewers couldn’t understand how Ant and Dec make it back to the studio so quickly

While a third chipped in: “If I’m A Celeb is live, how do Ant and Dec get back to the studio so quick after saying who’s going?? Have I missed something?”

Luckily, a couple of viewers managed to work out what they thought had happened – the clips are both live and pre-recorded.

They explained that the “live” part of the show is the exit interview, but the moments the lads spend breaking the elimination results are recorded a few minutes beforehand.

The “live” logo only appears when the scene is actually live

One viewer said: “When they say ‘we’re on our way into camp’ then show the clips, there’s usually a break afterwards and that’s when they do it. So when they’re saying who’s gonna leave it’s not live, but the rest is.”

And a second agreed: “It’s not live when they tell the celeb who is going. They do it during the ad break and it doesn’t say ‘Live’ on the screen when they do the result.”

Viewers suspected the scene where they break the news of the elimination result is pre-recorded

And a third added: “I’m embarrassed to admit I just sussed out how Ant and Dec make it back up to the studio platform so ‘fast’ after telling the campmates who’s going next. They’re on delay in camp, back live up top.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight at 9pm on ITV.
