It’s just a few months until Marvel fans across the world get to see what happens in Avengers: Endgame.
The general consensus is that those that fell in Avengers: Infinity War are brought back to life, due to the fact that Spider-Man: Far From Home is set after Endgame.
But it’s not known how or why that happens, which has got plenty of avid fans thinking.
A new theory, linked to the re-release of some classic comics, would see Marvel character The Black Knight introduced.
Marvel Comics announced that reprints of some old comics would be released in April, which is when Endgame also comes out.
Some of the re-releases feature direct links to Infinity War and Endgame, such as Nebula’s first appearances and Hawkeye returning as Ronin.
Not all of the comics have been announced, with some labelled “classified”, presumably because they spoil Endgame in some way.
In Avengers #71, also known as Endgame!, the teams split into small groups on time travelling missions.
The Black Knight eventually saves them and then joins the Avengers, which has fans speculating that could be a plot point in Endgame.
It’s not completely out of the question, considering The Black Knight’s sword, Ebony Blade, was supposed to appear in Doctor Strange, but was cut.
Does that mean Marvel bosses realised a better, or just different, way to introduce the little-known character?
The Black Knight actually started as a villain but the original asked the second, Dane Whitman, to redeem their family.
His sword is indestructible and protects its owner from mystical attacks, making it a pretty amazing weapon.
It’s also cursed but, hey, even fictional characters can’t be perfect, right?
So could The Black Knight show up to save the day in Endgame, or could he be introduced in Phase 4, which comes later this year?
Avengers: Endgame is set for a UK release on April 25.
