Last week Ant McPartlin revealed that he would be taking a break from presenting duties indefinitely after he was arrested and charged for drink-driving.
The 42-year-old sensation has checked himself into rehab for the second time in seven months and has cancelled upcoming telly appearances.
It’s already been announced that his co-host Declan Donnelly will front the remaining two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway on his own and it doesn’t look like he’ll be back in time for the 19th series of I’m A Celeb.
Bookies Betfair are tipping Ant at 3/1 to not host this year’s edition of all things jungle.
And if that wasn’t enough, they’ve lined up six babes that look set to take the presenting spot from his clutches.
In pole position is I’m A Celeb 2016 winner Scarlett Moffatt at 6/4.
Scarlett, 27, kicked started her career on Channel 4’s Gogglebox and has since gone on to front a whole range of shows, including Saturday Night Takeaway alongside Ant and Dec.
Last month the brunette bombshell described her co-stars as “the brothers I never had.”
Could she be pushing for some sibling rivalry?
“Personally, for Ant, we hope you get some time and space to return to full health”
Following right behind Scarlett is last year’s Queen of the Jungle, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo at 2/1.
The Made In Chelsea star has proven to audiences that she’s not one to crumble under the pressure of live either, after being handed a guest presenting spot on This Morning.
Just last week, Toff was taken out of her west London comfort zone and was taken to the UK’s biggest sewage plant.
If that doesn’t scream dedication then we don’t know what does…
Permanent This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby is next up at 8/1.
During last year’s series, Dec made a cheeky joke about Holly taking on the reins if Ant decided to stay in rehab.
He teased: “Welcome to Australia, we are back, and we’re here for the next three weeks.
“Your hosts with the most, me and the gorgeous Holly Willoughby…”
Looks like Dec’s foreshadowing could actually come true this time.
The 37-year-old vixen broke her silence about Ant on last week’s show and urged: “Personally, for Ant, we hope you get some time and space to return to full health.”
Loose Women star Stacey Solomon is fourth in line and Betfair are tipping her at 12/1.
The 28-year-old X Factor singer was crowned winner of the 10th series back in 2010 and is no stranger to life Down Under.
After she took first place she was made hostess of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Extra Camp alongside partner Joe Swash, Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattinson and comedian Chris Ramsey.
Stacey was dropped from last year’s series and replaced by Scarlett Moffatt – despite her boyfriend Joe hosting the show.
Could the mum-of-two revive her jungle career or is there no turning back now?
Bookies Betfair are also tipping Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden 20/1 for the job.
The ageless mum-of-two has previously told Daily Star Online that she would step foot in the Aussie outback – under one condition.
The TV queen said: “Phillip Schofield and I said, when we know for sure it’s Ant [McPartlin] and Dec [Donnelly]’s last year, maybe all of us, all their friends, should go on it as the last hurrah.
“Maybe they should come in it too, instead of hosting it. Get Dick [McCourt] and Dom [Wood] to host it.”
Has the time finally come?
Good Morning Britain telly babe Susanna Reid has also been listed by Betfair to takeover Ant’s role at 33/1.
The 47-year-old mum-of-three would definitely raise temperatures to boiling point with her eye-popping outfits.
And the career move would give her a well-earned three week break from her controversial co-host Piers Morgan.
In the past, the mum-of-three has revealed she watches the ITV show with her kids.
“We tend to watch it all together and we’ll talk about everything,” the brunette beauty explained.
Could this be the year she’s on the box instead of in front of it?
