Taking to the stage in her black slit leg jumpsuit, the former Fifth Harmony star spilled all about her previous ‘toxic’ relationship to the 5,000 fans that came to support her show.
After opening the gig with Never Be The Same, the song the tour is named after, the star went on to perform some of the favourites from her debut album, Camila.
The star began to sing Something’s Gotta Give when she chose to explain the meaning behind the popular single.
Admitting that the song is about choosing between love and fear, the 21-year-old divulged into her toxic past.
“Love will tell you to follow your dreams and fear will convince you it’s wrong”
The Havana singer said: “I had to make a choice [between love and fear].
“Choosing to love myself enough to get out of a toxic relationship, or let the fear of change stop me.
“I had to ignore the fear that was telling me that change is too scary. It’s a constant battle.”
The star continued: “Love will tell you to follow your dreams and fear will convince you it’s wrong.”
Having hit home for a number of people, fans belted out the chorus: “Something’s gotta give, something’s gotta break. But all I do is give and all you do is take.
“Something’s gotta change, but I know that it won’t. No reason to stay, is a good reason to go.”
But what had fans cheering for Camila during this performance was her backing video.
During the chorus, clips showed on screen from multiple US based protests over the years.
The long list of support campaigns included Black Lives Matter, Fight For Our Lives and the Women’s March.
Feeling the support from the crowd, the star belted out the rest of the single as the audience shone their phone torches and sang it back to her.
Camila is currently touring with Taylor Swift and Charli XCX on the Reputation Tour which first hit the UK last week in Manchester.
Having performed solo in London for the first time and selling out Brixton’s O2 Academy, Camila thanked her fans, telling them: “You have made all of my dreams come true.”
