Coronation Street‘s Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) shocked fans when he slept with Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) last night.
But little does she know, he assaulted David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) earlier this year after drugging him during a night out.
Coronation Street cast member Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) now knows what Josh did, and has vowed revenge on her enemy.
She enlists the help of Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) to help get David out of prison for assaulting Gary Windass (Mikey North).
David refuses to tell Imran what he was thinking when he was attacking Gary in the boxing ring, so Shona takes action on her own.
She comes across a former colleague of Josh’s who was also raped by him.
Can Shona get the man to speak out on David’s behalf?
Viewers know Josh is going to be arrested for his crime, and he and David will face off in court.
But it won’t be good news for David as show producer Kate Oates has revealed Josh won’t see justice for his crimes.
She said to Metro: “I am not afraid of controversy – it’s more important to reflect the truth. If you tie things up with a bow, there’s a danger people take away from that: ‘it’s all right then, we don’t need to talk about this anymore, it’s done.” But it’s not done…
“I think it’s important not to artificially tie things up – I believe that David’s perpetrator wouldn’t be convicted in this instance.”
Meanwhile, David is still struggling in prison for his attack on Gary, and he is set to lash out at his cellmate.
Corrie continues on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
