Best known for her role in Camp Rock, Demi Lovato was one of the biggest Disney stars, amongst Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez during the noughties.
However, she struggled being a child star and turned to drugs, an eating disorder and self-harm in a bid to cope, before finally going to rehab.
After she got sober, Demi admitted earlier this year that she still had to leave events early in order to avoid temptation.
In March, the star celebrated her sixth year of sobriety with a tweet that said: “So grateful for having another year of joy, health and happiness, it IS possible.”
“I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.”
But now, Demi has admitted that she has relapsed in her new single Sober.
The lyrics say: “To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before, I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”
She added: “And I’m sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again, I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.”

She ended the emotional track with: “I’m sorry that I’m here again, I promise I’ll get help. It wasn’t my intention, I’m sorry to myself.”
The star took to Twitter to post a snippet of the track, showing her going through emotional stages and captioned the video: “My truth…”
Floods of supportive comments came, including from rapper Iggy Azalea, who tweeted: “Waking up listening to @ddlovato “sober”. I’m proud of you for having the guts to reveal your truth to the world again. Not easy.
“I’m here for you friend! (you know this) I pray you’ll choose recovery again. All of us who love you only want to see you happy and healthy.”
When Demi admitted that she had relapsed on Twitter, the star received 42k retweets and 118k likes at the time, while her fans filled her mentions with supportive tweets saying: “We’re going to stay with you no matter what.”
Demi admitted at the end of the single that she was looking to find help again, and thousands of people are showing that they’ll support her all the way.
