Jack, 23, ignited speculation among his 824,000 followers during last night’s show.
He tweeted: “I know who I’ve got my eyes on,” which immediately sparked frenzy with his fanbase.
“Wait – is Jack Maynard actually going on Love Island or is it just bulls***?” one asked.
“I will seriously be heartbroken if Jack Maynard does go in Love Island,” another tweeted.
“Wait – is Jack Maynard actually going on Love Island or is it just bulls***?”
And a third wrote: “Is Jack Maynard actually going on Love Island? I don’t know whether to cringe or squeal.”
Jack’s former girlfriend Danielle Sellers and Love Island 2017 alum also hinted her ex would be going on the programme too.
During an appearance on This Morning before Monday night’s launch, Danielle told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that she was scared to watch the new series.
“I have a feeling there is someone I know who is going in,” she teased.
“Watching is going to be not so fun for me,=.”
Jack will have a second chance at reality TV stardom, having appeared on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2017.
The DJ was forced forced to quit the show after just three days after his old racist and homophobic tweets resurfaced.
Jack’s representative said he was “ashamed” by the tweets – which have since been deleted – and he apologised for using “unacceptable” language.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV.
