EastEnders and Crossroads legend Heather Chasen has died

EastEnders and Crossroads actress Heather Chasen died on May 22 at the age of 92.

She was best known for playing Valerie Pollard on soap Crossroads, Lydia Simmonds on EastEnders and Sylvie Leigh on Holby City.

Her friend and Coronation Street Amanda Barrie confirmed the news, posting on her social media: “Remembering the fabulous Heather Chasen who sadly left us yesterday.

“She was wonderfully eccentric, gloriously funny, and a very special actress.

“There’ll never be another like her. Will always miss her.”
