Ed Sheeran promoter SUED by Viagogo over ‘charging fans twice for tickets’

Ticket seller Viagogo has launched the legal action after a dispute over ticket resales to the singer’s 2017 tour.

Viagogo claims Stuart Galbraith’s firm Kilimanjaro Live tricked fans into buying a second ticket by telling them that the one they had already bought through Viagogo was not valid.

This was not true and it allowed him to pocket millions of pounds by charging fans twice, the firm claims.

A spokesman said: “All tickets on Viagogo are authentic.

Stuart Galbraith set up fake Viagogo booths at venues and conned our customers into believing that their tickets wouldn’t work.”

Viagogo – which is due to be grilled by MPs about its controversial selling practices today – has filed the action in a German court.

Kilimanjaro Live said the claims were “ludicrous, laughable and most importantly totally false”.

A spokesman said it would “defend against this action vigorously and looks forward to doing so in court”.
