SuRie said she won’t be focusing on the scoreboard tonight.
And bookies have made her a 200-1 outsider – among the worst odds the UK has ever had.
Paddy Power say bets on Essex-born SuRie, 29, have hit a record low.
Spokeswoman Amy Jones said: “There’s definitely no sense of patriotism from the Brits this year.
“No-one fancies the UK to do anything and we’ve taken the lowest amount of bets on them ever. Albania is more fancied than the British!”
“My priority is making my performance everything I can to do myself proud and the UK proud”
Speaking backstage at Lisbon’s Altice Arena, SuRie – real name Susanna Marie Cork – said: “I know I’m part of a contest and I know there’s a competitive element.
“But my priority is making my performance everything I can to do myself proud and the UK proud.
“I don’t think people are expecting the UK to win – anything above nul points would be good, right?”
The UK hasn’t won Eurovision since 1997 with Katrina and the Waves.
But we could still be hosting the contest next year – if Australia wins tonight.
Their act Jessica Mauboy, 28, is one of the favourites.
