The 56-year-old could be set to follow James Haskell out of the jungle, following a slew of Ofcom complaints.
According to The Sun, the former Arsenal player’s treatment of comedian Andrew Maxwell, 44, sparked over 30 angry phone calls from viewers last week.
Ofcom told the publication: “We are assessing the complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”
Ian tore into Andrew one evening when he decided to leave the washing up for later, and head for a nap after completing a BushTucker trial.
He said: “We’re grateful for the ten stars but at the same time you can’t get ten stars then clock off if it worked like that it would be anarchy.
“The thing is, James had to go and help with the dishes because you got the stars, came back, but because Caitlyn wanted to do it you went to sleep.
“Just do it, it would have taken 10, 15 minutes.”
When Andrew apologised, saying he’d “do it in the future”, Ian refused to cheer up.
He remarked: “Do you understand what I am saying? I don’t want us in a situation where I am festering.”
At one point, the Irish comic grew emotional about the way Ian spoke to him, realising he spoke to the other campmates differently.
James Haskell replied: “You’re an important part of the group, Ian’s temperament shouldn’t dictate that you don’t engage.”
New figures from William Hill reveals Ian has a four in five chance of getting eliminated in tonight’s axing.
