It’s believed that starving I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Contestants have each lost at least half a stone since they stepped foot in the famous jungle.
Show executives believe that the ten original campmates have lost a colossal three kilograms between the group who entered the camp last week.
Former rugby star turned MMA fighter James Haskell was the heaviest person to enter the camp, given his gruelling work out routine.
They have also been forced to mainly eat a diet of basic rations of rice and beans, consuming around 700 calories a day.
This is a stark contrast to the average 4,000 calories that England ace James would normally eat on a daily basis.
Former Arsenal player, Ian Wright , 56, has openly shared his anger about the lack of food the campmates have been given during their stay.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “There’s not been a lot of food on offer this first week, with many subjected to just basic rations and even when the food has been won through trials it’s still tiny portions compared to what many are used to.
“Even when they get a proper feed it’s still a lean meal of meat and healthy vegetables.”
They went on to add: “James has seen the biggest drop in weight, which is not surprising given how big he was when he went in.
“But some of the others – including Ian and Kate Garraway have seen a big difference already too.”
Speaking on the ITV2 spin off show, I’m A Celebrity… Extra Camp, James claimed that he was “wasting away” due to the lack of nutritional food on offer.
The 34-year-old said: “I never thought I would look at a menu and choose crocodile feet. We’re still only getting 700 calories per day.
“We’re slowly wasting away, but wasting away with dignity! We’re literally scraping the barrel of discovering different ways of cooking rice and beans and trying to add some flavour.”
Speaking to The Sun before he went into the jungle, he claimed he expected to lose around half a stone by the time the three-week stint had ended.
“I’m about 121kg going in. I think I’ll probably lose 10kg, Mayne a bit more and come out 109 maybe. It will be pretty horrific in terms of that loss.”
Ex-England star, Ian has openly spoken about his struggle due to the lack of food before admitting that he came close to walking.
The legend said: “I don’t think it’s five days yet and I’m already doing the… I’m struggling with eating.
“When Arsene Wenger first came to Arsenal, we literally changed from eating what we wanted to literally bland, I’m talking bland food – almost similar.
It’s almost taken me back to remembering how bland the food was.”
Wright clashed with Irish funnyman Andrew Maxwell who has also lost a staggering amount of weight when the comedian offered Ian seconds of crocodile foot.
Previously, The Vamps singer James McVey revealed that he lost 5kg during his three-week stint in the jungle.
