Caitlyn Jenner has spoken about her depression and loneliness she felt while going through “the process of transitioning”.
The 70-year-old reality star said that at one point her “loneliness was so powerful” she could “taste it”.
Writing in her autobiography in 2017, Caitlyn recalled: “Nothing matters. I am depressed, and I am not someone prone to depression.
“My loneliness is so powerful I can taste it as I wake up in the morning to another day of indifference.”
Caitlyn opened up about her battles with gender dysphoria in her book Caitlyn Jenner The Secrets of My Life.
She continued: “The woman inside me has always been clawing and scratching to get out.
“Bruce cannot handle her. Bruce does not want to handle her.
“Bruce wants to have simply not existed in the first place. He never belonged.”
The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star also spoke about feeling “intimidated” by ex-wife Kris Jenner while they were filming Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
She said: “If it seems like Kris intimidates me at times, that’s because she does.
“She was confident and sure of herself when I met her and becomes even more so as the show takes off.
“With me, it’s the flip side: I am more lacking in confidence and unsure of myself than I was when I met her.”
Caitlyn is a contestant on this year’s I’m a Celeb, with the first episode airing last night.
The nation is already falling in love with the media personality after her first appearance on the show, thanks to her comforting of Nadine Coyle and fearless approach to the challenges.
Caitlyn paid tribute to son-in-law rapper Kayne as she made her entrance into the jungle.
She was sporting a pair of Yeezy trainers designed by Kanye.
Fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the star’s tribute to Kim Kardashian’s husband.
One said: “Caitlyn is so cute and clearly supports her family. Look at her wearing Kayne’s brand!”
While another gushed: “Caitlyn Jenner wearing Yeezy’s on I’m A Celeb has made my day.”
