The singer took to Twitter earlier this month to challenge Hollywood actor Tom Cruise to a UFC fight.
And it appears as though Justin Bieber may be getting exactly what he asked for.
According to TMZ, 56-year-old Tom is very likely to agree to take on the 25-year-old hitmaker in the ring.
The publication claims that Ari Emanuel, the co-CEO of the William Morris Endeavor agency that owns UFC, called Justin’s manager, Scooter Braun and then conferenced in Dana White.
Ari reportedly said he would love for the fight to happen and Dana agreed, while Scooter made it absolutely “clear” that Bieber would be up for it.
It’s also claimed that during the conversation, Ari said she strongly believed that Tom would agree to enter the Octagon and take on Justin.
The news comes after Justin made the shock proposition to the Top Gun star on Twitter, leaving fans flabbergasted.
Posting to his 105.7million followers, he wrote: “I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon.
“Tom, if you don’t take this fight you’re scared and you will never live it down.”
Speaking directly to Dana White, the president of UFC, he said: “Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?”
The I Don’t Care hitmaker later revealed to TMZ that the whole thing started off as a joke.
He said: “It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes.”
Tom is renowned for his athleticism and daredevil attitude, often performing his own stunts in action movies.
So could this be the fight of the century? We sure hope so.
