Back from her holiday and into her morning telly slot, Lorraine Kelly announced she would be speaking to Nick Knowles today.
Interestingly, a mocked up photo of Nick in the iconic I’m A Celeb costume flashed up on the screen behind her.
Lorraine, 58, dove straight into asking whether Nick, 55, was actually doing the jungle this year.
He said: “Every year I get asked by all the programmes and I’m a Celeb’s one of them.
“I’d never say never, but I do get asked every year”
“Do you know what, I think it’d be quite fun to do, all the trials would be quite good to do, I’d rock the hat by the looks of it, too.”
Lorraine asked if viewers would ever see Nick on the show – and he hinted that it’s a possibility.
He said: “I get asked every year and I’ve always said I wouldn’t do it, but who knows?
“I’ve got a little boy to look after and if it comes to it… I’d never say never, but I do get asked every year.”
If Nick was heading Down Under, Lorraine isn’t the only daytime TV queen he’d be opening up to.
Last week, it was confirmed that Holly Willoughby, 37, would be joining Declan Donnelly, 42, as his co-host.
She will replace Ant McPartlin, 42, for a year while the Geordie star focuses on his addiction issues.
While it looks like Nick won’t be heading into the Jungle this year, there are a number of other celebs rumoured.
Both Jack Maynard and Gemma Collins are slated for return stints after appearing on the show in 2017 and 2014 respectively.
Other names mentioned are Frankie Bridge, Jamie Laing, Rosie Marcel, Aaron Chalmers, Brendan Cole and a handful of soap stars.
One person who, like Nick, won’t be entering is Catherine Tyldesley, as she denied the rumours on Twitter.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
