There were innuendos flying left, right and centre on this morning’s episode of ITV’s Lorraine.
Lorraine Kelly jumped between the sheets with pal Dr Hilary Jones for a segment on sleep, and the two couldn’t stop cracking jokes.
As soon as she slid under the covers, the doctor quipped: “Never in bed together! This is a first.”
Through laughter, she later added: “We’re here in bed together, after all these years!”
When Lorraine’s border terrier Angus climbed off the bed and out of shot, the two long-time pals erupted into giggles.
The TV star doc asked: “Do you think he’s left us in private for a reason?”
Lorraine responded: “He knows!”
Jokes aside, Hilary had some solid advice to offer viewers who are struggling to get a decent eight-hours of kip per night.
The 66-year-old suggested drinking herbal teas to help with the slumber but advised against using sleep-aid apps.
He also recommended taking 20-minute “cat naps” throughout the day to aid productivity.
Luckily for Angus, Hilary said sleeping with a pet in the room can lead to a sounder night’s sleep – but only if they’re clean and flea-free.
That said, bad doggie odour isn’t a problem for Lorraine’s pup, as she revealed: “Angus smells like a rose!”
Lorraine continues on weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
