The notice read: “We won’t give you any cheek. And we don’t expect to see any in return.”

Alongside the picture, a spokesperson added: “Just a gentle reminder about our swimwear policy.

“We are fully aware that it’s OK to wear thongs on Love Island, but not in a family friendly facility like ours.

“Thanks in advance!”

The social media post has racked up a positive response, with many agreeing that public swimming pools aren’t a place for skimpy swimwear.

One Instagram user wrote: “Haha I saw the poster when we were there…

Another agreed: “We are loving this type of poster, it catches people’s eye.

“And it’s funny so people remember it. Well done.”

While the clamp-down on risqué pool attire has pleased many, it may upset fashion fans.
