FASHION ICON: Meghan has broken several Royal fashion rules since she married Prince Harry

married  in a lavish ceremony exactly three weeks ago today.

Since then all eyes have been on the Royal couple and the new Duchess has become a stye icon the world over.

While her impeccable fashion sense has helped her win an army of fans, some of her outfit choice have got tongues wagging for a different reason.

When you become a member of the one is expected to abide by.

However, Meghan has broken fashion protocol at several major events.

Here are some of the ways she bent the rules when it comes to fashion:

1. No stockings

The Queen encourages Royal women to wear stockings to all engagements, but Meghan opted to go bare-legged at the official photocall to announce her engagement to Prince Harry

The Duchess of Cornwall wore a white coat and nude shoes for the shoot, but didn’t appear to be wearing tights.

The Queen, Kate Middleton and Diana all wore stockings to public events.

2. Shoulders out

The former Suits actress got the nation talking as she opted for a stunning Carolina Herrera frock for the Trooping the Colour ceremony, to mark the Queen’s birthday.

Fashion tradition usually dictates that Royal women do not wear off-shoulder or other more revealing styles to public engagements.

3. All black outfits

Another unofficial rule is that Royal ladies can’t wear all-black outfits unless it’s for a somber or commemorative occasion

But Meghan opted for a completely black outfit while her and Prince Harry visited Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

Meghan also broke Royal protocol at her wedding when she hugged Prince Harry’s ex Cheesy Davy during their evening reception.

As Meghan is now a member of the royal family and Chelsy does not know her well, the correct etiquette would be for Chelsy to curtsey for her.
