He said: “Meghan Markle, didn’t know at the time because she wasn’t married to a royal person so I wasn’t paying attention. I don’t remember the film that much, I think I planted one on her in the scene.”
During the scene in question, Russell kisses a perma-tanned brunette in a silver frock for way longer than necessary.
He’s then pulled off her by Jonah Hill’s character, who has been tasked with getting Russel’s Aldous Snow from London to LA.
“Not her body. Not her profile. Literally looks nothing like her”
Someone opened up the debate on Twitter, asking: “I need to note that multiple sites say this is Meghan Markle in her uncredited role in Get Him to the Greek but I really do not think it is. Anyone?”
One response agreed, saying: “Not her body. Not her profile. Literally looks nothing like her.”
While somebody else wasn’t convinced, adding: “If it were during the Deal or No Deal days, I’d say maybe.”
Get Him to the Greek was released in 2010, while Meghan appeared on Deal or No Deal four years earlier in 2006.
Daily Star Online did some snooping through the archives and we’ve come to the conclusion that Russell does not kiss Meghan in the film.
Whoever he does lay the lips on has a very different nose so, unless Meghan somehow swapped noses just for the film, it’s not her.
But that means Meghan’s actual role in Get Him to the Greek still remains a mystery.
Of course, she didn’t stay an unknown actress forever and landed her career-defining part in Suits a year later in 2011.
She’s now arguably the most famous woman on the planet and all eyes will be on her on Saturday when she marries Prince Harry.
This week there has been speculation over whether or not her father, Thomas Markle, would walk her down the aisle.
Today, via a statement from Kensington Palace, Meghan confirmed that Thomas will not be attending the wedding.
