However, fans were distracted from the pair’s charitable endeavour as they realised Calum had been called George, his late father.
Footballing legend George died in 2005 due to alcoholism-related issues.
The title read: “George and Angie Best: Our Mont Blanc challenge.”
Fans rushed to social media to comment on the awkward blunder, with one saying: “That’s going to be some amazing feat if they’re planning on getting George Best to the top of Mont Blanc considering he died 13 years ago.”
Another added: “Your headline is George and Angie best…his name is Callum??? His late father was George…oops.”
A third chipped in: “Surely the caption is wrong on the Best story it said George & Angie Best… Shouldn’t it say Calum & Angie best!?”
A fourth wrote: “Pretty sure that’s Calum?”
A fifth chipped in: “Title says George and Angie Best: Our Mont Blanc challenge #ThisMorning isn’t that Callum?”
Calum and Angie are hoping to raise £65,000 for Nacao UK, which is a charity that provides information, advice and support for those affected by a parent’s drinking.
The pair will also be joined by Bianca Gascoigne, whose dad Paul is also an alcoholic.
This Morning continues tomorrow at 10.30am on ITV.
