Over the past few years it has become harder and harder for new artists to break into the industry.
Apart from Dua Lipa, who managed to jump on the express train to global stardom, the industry has become almost stagnant as it tries to adjust to the rise of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
Even established artists like Cheryl are struggling to adapt to the ever changing climate.
Liam Payne’s ex has seen her comeback single Love Made Me Do It plummet on the charts with the track crashing out of the UK Top 40 after just weeks.
However, Brazilian beauty Anitta appears to have defied the odds and broken into the UK market.
While the 25-year-old vixen is already an established artist Latin America, up until recently she’s flown relatively under the radar in England.
In June, Anitta wowed London with a sold-out performance at the Royal Albert Hall and now she’s landed the cover of tmrw magazine.
Slipping into a PVC boob tube, the songstress oozes sex appeal as she poses for the glossy.
Standing with her hands on her hips the rising star confidently flaunts her gym-honed frame – teasing her killer pout in the process.
Anitta completed her look with a statement pair of white glasses.
Thanks to her red-hot looks, the popstar has amassed an army of supporters online.
In fact, her official Instagram account alone has over 32 million followers.
Speaking about her drive to being a star, Anitta said: “I knew I was going to be a singer since the day I was born, there was no other option for me.
“I want to show people that it might be hard, but it’s not impossible, and that no one should ever restrict themselves to what other people say they can and can’t do.”
The brunette beauty added: “We are entertainment, but I always like to add something to the conversation.
“I think people have high expectations when it comes to artists and celebrities, but when they see them putting their imperfections out, that can make them feel stronger and more comfortable.”
Over the past few months Anitta has hit the studio with some of the industries biggest names including Pharrell Williams and and Liam Payne collaboration and Colombian singer J Balvin.
In particular, the starlet has struck up a close bond with Let You Love Me hit-maker Rita Ora.
Gushing over the British chart-topper, Anitta told Celebs Now: “Her energy is great, she’s so sweet and humble.
“I had fun with her in the studio, and sometimes we talk through social media.
“When I’m in the studio with people like Pharrell Williams and Rita they always ask me to sing in both language.”
