Neighbours certainly hasn’t been short on the drama this year, with the return of Andrea Somers and Dee Bliss for the ultimate showdown, the grisly comeback of serial killer Robert Robinson and David Tanaka’s life or death health battle.
Recent Neighbours spoilers have hinted that 2020 will be matching this year in the thrill stakes, and viewers can certainly expect even more bloodshed, affairs and family showdowns, with a few more familiar faces chucked in.
Daily Star Online have been sworn to secrecy about what will happen, but one thing is for sure, fans definitely won’t be disappointed.
Elly Conway and Finn Kelly to get back together as Shaun returns from the dead?
There have been some serious hints about rekindled feelings between exes Elly and Finn in recent weeks, and things could be about to step up a notch as Elly’s birth date quickly approaches. Elly’s sister and Finn’s girlfriend Bea has noticed a spark between the pair, but is she just imagining it? Or could Elly’s baby bring the pair back together as he becomes determined to help bring up his brother’s child?
However, any soap fan knows that until a body is shown on screen, no one is 100% dead. As Shaun was killed off-screen in a tragic avalanche, he could be set to return… to find the mother of his child back together with his brother.
Madeleine West returns to reunite with Toadie Rebecchi?
The show has confirmed that Madeleine West will be back to reprise her role, and fans are sure to hope that Dee Bliss could reunite with her former husband Toadie Rebecchi now that he is single.
Toadie is finding himself lonelier than ever as he copes with the thought of starting a new year without his wife, and finding comfort in his ex could be the perfect solution.
While the details of Dee’s return to the soap is being kept under wraps, she is certain to want to see Toadie again, and perhaps sparks could fly between the pair, especially as he almost considered rekindling with her last time she was in Erinsborough.
Could the pair get their first true love romance back on track and settle down for good?
Familiar faces make a comeback, and Stingray to return from the dead?
Some other familiar faces are set to make a comeback, as Neighbours recently announced that Sky Mangel would be making a return for the show’s 35th anniversary along with Dylan Timmins, Stingray’s brother.
Fans remember that Stingray tragically died in 2007 from an aneurysm, and while he is definitely dead, Sky’s spiritualist tendencies could see her talk to him from beyond the grave in a seance.
Will Stingray make a comeback?
Roxy and Shane to have an affair behind Dipi’s back?
Fans have noticed a spark between Roxy and Shane after they grew close at the end of this year, as Roxy dealt the dilemma of whether she wanted to volunteer as a kidney donor to save David Tanaka’s life, and Shane offering her a supportive shoulder.
As the pair grow closer, could Dipi have something to worry about? After all, Roxy does have form in getting passionate with married men…
Finn Kelly to turn evil again as he dumps Bea for her sister?
Viewers remember when Finn was evil, which saw him commit terrible crimes such as taking Bea Nilsson hostage in the woods, and swapping Susan Kennedy’s MS medication which saw her relapse, and everyone has been waiting for the villainous side of him to return.
While Finn has been determined to be a better person after seeing the error of his ways, it seems likely viewers could see his dark side approaching soon.
With a love triangle between his ex and her sister starting to form, perhaps the sisters have got something to worry about with the former teacher.
In a previous interview with Daily Star Online, Bonnie Anderson, who plays Bea, hinted that Finn turning evil again is a very real possibility, saying: “Bea has always watched Finn very closely, and she was worried he is dangerous…she knows he is capable of seriously evil things.”
“He has done some really evil things and they’re all waiting for him to change, they know he can’t be good forever.”
Rob Mills added: “If he comes back as a villain again, he will be even more evil, but he’ll pretend not to.
“Playing a villain on Neighbours is an honour, and it is something I love to do.”
Could Finn be about to turn evil again?
Aaron and David to have finally baby together?
Now that David Tanaka is on the way to recovery, thanks to his half-brother Robert Robinson giving him a kidney, he and husband Aaron can start looking to the future.
The pair’s wedding was the show’s first same-sex nuptials earlier this year, and fans are hoping the married couple could have the first same-sex adoption.
And it looks like the pair could have the perfect opportunity to become partners, as Amy Williams looks set to discover she is pregnant with boyfriend Kyle’s baby, but she isn’t sure he is the right person to have a baby with.
The next big step looks like this is what Takaya Honda is hoping for, as he told Daily Star Online: “It would be a natural organic move to a trial baby storyline for Aaron and David.
“I want it as an actor – bringing a new dynamic to our household and relationship – who knows what form that comes in…
Could the pair have a baby in the new year?
David Tanaka could become a serial killer
Neighbours stars have promised one of the biggest storylines ever to hit the soap will land in 2020 and it’s set to be full of plot twists and suspense. So fans are waiting for a huge plot twist, and it looks like it could be something to do with David Tanaka, who has claimed the big Christmas storyline this year.
Robert Robinson could keep wrecking havoc around Erinsborough even when he isn’t on screen as David could start to take on his murderous and psychopathic traits after accepting the transplant.
Could he be about to terrorise Ramsay Street by going on a murder spree like his half-brother once did? Could this also lead to a deadly showdown with dad Paul?
Terese and Paul’s marriage ends in tragedy as her alcoholism takes her life?
Fans know that unless you’re Karl and Susan Kennedy, your relationship will eventually end in tragedy as soap bosses love to keep the couples on their toes.
Terese and Paul recently reunited and got married, and things seem to be going well for the pair amidst their fears about son David Tanaka’s health.
The soap recently revisited Terese’s alcoholism storyline as she began drinking again after losing her job at the Lassiter’s hotel.
While Terese managed to nip things in the bud, soaps usually only bring things up again when they want to make it a bigger storyline later down the line.
Could Terese start drinking again, and will it cost her her life this time round?
It is definitely not looking good…
