In recent years, the main presentations have taken place at Spring Studios and Industria.
Here is all the information you need about New York Fashion Week.
What is New York Fashion Week?
New York Fashion Week is one of the Big Four fashion events in the world – along with London, Paris and Milan.
It takes place twice a year and is an event full of shows which allow fashion designers to showcase their latest collections.
The main aim of the shows is to showcase the collections to influential buyers and writers.
They attend the shows to see potential designs and collections that could sell well in retail.
Meanwhile, press write about their reactions to the collections.
When is New York Fashion Week?
New York Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, September 6, 2018.
How to get tickets to New York Fashion Week:
There are two types of shows at New York Fashion week: Industry and open-to-the-public. Unfortunately, most Fashion Week tickets are for those with connections to the industry. This mainly includes fashion press and buyers.
However, there are some ways you can bag yourself entry to an open-to-the-public show.
For example, if you become a Couture Level Member for $ 10 a year you can get invitation to members-only events, discounted tickets to fashion week and more.
How to watch the events live:
Luckily, there is a way you can watch the events without being there in person.
Many of the designers choose to have their fashion shows streamed live for the public to enjoy.
The good news is, if you missed a show you can even watch it on replay.
