REVEALED: Hollywood HARDMAN joining Coronation Street

A HOLLYWOOD hardman is joining Coronation Street, we can reveal.

Show bosses have signed up Brit actor Adam Fogerty to play a prison officer.

The hunk has appeared in a string of blockbusters in the past.

He starred with Tom Hardy in Krays biopic Legend and alongside Brad Pitt in Snatch.

And he’s also had roles in box office hits including Mean Machine, Stardust and Little Voice.

A telly insider: “Corrie’s producers are thrilled to have such an experienced actor joining the team. He has the perfect back catalogue to play a prison officer.”

Adam has already been at Corrie’s set in Salford to film scenes.

Fans will see Adam appear in three episodes next month, but it is hoped he will return in 2019 for more scenes.

A show source said: “Adam has fitted in already. And because characters are always in and out of prison, it’s likely we’ll be seeing a fair amount of him on the show.”

It won’t be the first time Adam has appeared on Corrie’s famous cobbles.

He played a hitman in an episode of the ITV soap 23 years ago.

Adam is the latest signing by Corrie’s new boss Iain MacLeod.

Earlier this week your in-the-know Daily Star revealed he had snapped up ex-EastEnders actress Janet Dibley.
