The One Direction superstar jetted out to Rome with Jonas Blue to perform the hit track live on TV.
Like Cheryl, Liam, 25, insisted on singing live – however, unlike his ex, Liam’s vocals weren’t widely mocked online.
Dressing down in black jeans and a dark tee, the Strip That Down singer looked effortlessly stylish as he belted out the dance track.
As he worked his magic on stage, fans flocked to Twitter to gush over his performance.
“Omg I’m so proud of you,” one fan tweeted the superstar.
Another added: “Liam you sound amazing.”
Cheryl’s recent performance of Love Made Me Do It was ripped to shreds after her voice appeared shaky and she failed to hit all the notes.
However, unlike Liam, the yummy-mummy was performing a high energy dance routine at the same time.
Earlier this week Liam was revealed to be the most influential man on Twitter ahead of The President of the United States, Donald Trump.
Justin Bieber came third, while former President Barack Obama came fourth.
Taking to Twitter to gush over the news, Liam said: “Wow can’t quite believe this.
“Couldn’t have done it without you… thanks for listening.”
Liam recently opened up about his struggles to create a debut album.
Chatting to tmrw mag, the crooner admitted he has found it hard to put pen to paper when it comes to writing songs for his upcoming debut album.
Speaking frankly, Liam said: “I think my main problem, and what was holding me back, was writers block when it came to writing by myself. I didn’t really know what sound I was going for.
“You shouldn’t be thinking ‘is this a single?’ or ‘is that a single?’ – you should just write songs because every song has a unique code to crack.”
