Strictly’s Neil Jones forced to miss show as Kevin Clifton returns again

It has been confirmed that Strictly Come Dancing pro Neil Jones will not be performing with partner Alex Scott on tomorrow night’s episode.

This will be the second week running he’s been forced to sit out due to injury, instead being replaced by Kevin Clifton.

Last week, Alex danced with Kevin as well, with the duo scoring a 34 for their street routine to Ray Parker Jr song Ghostbusters during the Halloween episode.

Tomorrow night, Alex and Kevin will dance an American smooth to Ain’t No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.

Neil and Alex appeared on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two tonight on which he spoke of the disappointing news.

Neil has been forced to drop out of this week’s Strictly due to injury

He told host Zoe Ball: “No, I won’t be dancing tomorrow. I have tried, I am just not ready yet.”

Then, speaking to Alex, he continued: “Nail the dance, go through, and I am ready for you on Monday morning.”

The dancing duo went on to reveal that Alex has been practising the routine with Kevin, who won last year with Stacey Dooley, since Wednesday evening.

Neil will not perform with Alex for the second week running

Kevin had stepped in with just 45 minutes notice last week, with fans arguing he and Alex were at a disadvantage.

However she managed to escape the bottom two, while Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley was eliminated instead.

It seems this year’s Strictly has been an unlucky one, as contestant Will Bayley was forced to pull out of the series after picking up an injury too.

And before the series had started, Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing dropped out and was replaced by soap hunk Kelvin Fletcher.

It has been confirmed, though, that Will is not going to be replaced meaning there will be just three couples in the grand finale.

It seems tomorrow will be a night full of variation, with couples dancing to songs including PJ and Duncan’s Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble, Jax Jones track Instruction and Another One Bites The Dust by Queen.

Strictly Come Dancing airs tomorrow at 7pm on BBC One, with the results 7.15pm on Sunday
