Things began when Piers, 53, saw and advert for Kate Garraway’s upcoming article about 40-plus women knowing more about sex than the Love Island generation.
Piers asked Kate, 51: “Given that they are at it like dim-witted rabbits every second of the day, what is it that you do or know that they are not doing or knowing?”
Kate giggled as she replied: “The article is out Sunday and I specifically chose that day for it to come out as I knew I wasn’t working with you on Monday so I’m furious that they’ve put an advert in today.”
“Are you more adventurous in bed than Love Island contestants?”
Susanna, 47, then exclaimed: “I’d just like to point out that there is another 40-plus woman sitting at the desk who might like to know this morning.”
Turning to her, Piers asked: “Are you more adventurous in bed than Love Island contestants?”
As Susanna blushed and giggled, she said: “I just want to know what advice Kate Garraway has got for me.”
Fellow GMB star Richard Arnold then joined the conversation, asking: “Who is doing bits?” to which Kate joked: “We’re all trying to find bits, they have gone south.”
Piers then asked Kate to give an example of how 40-plus women know more about sex than the current generation, leading her to exclaim: “Oh my god it’s breakfast time!”
Susanna asked: “Keep it spicy, is that one of your tips?”
Kate hit back: “Is that one of yours?” to which Susanna replied: “I don’t know!”
Richard then cheekily probed: “When was the last time you played vikings and maidens?”
Chuckling, Susanna replied: “I like to keep that to myself.”
Looking rather happy, Piers said the conversation had cheered him up following England’s defeat against Croatia the World Cup last night.
He said: “I tell you what this is certainly perking up things after the despair of last night, it’s all got a little under the collar here.”
GMB continues on ITV at 6am.
