After dominating the Reputation Tour in the US, Taylor has moved over to the UK to perform her new album.
Bringing along her female support acts, Camila Cabello and Charli XCX, Taylor has kicked off her UK Tour tonight, starting in Manchester.
Preparing to rock the UK for her Reputation Tour, Manchester Evening News confirmed that Taylor has reportedly booked out the entire Lowry Hotel in Salford ahead of her shows.
Which has thrown a spanner in the works of some VIP’s with Soccer Aid and Parklife Festival being on the same weekend.
Every year, the celebrity guests from Soccer Aid stay at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester, but this year they’ve opted for Hilton Hotel on Deansgate.
Soccer Aid guests that can’t stay at the usual five star hotel include Usain Bolt and Take That’s Robbie Williams.
With Parklife Festival looming, the headlining guests will have to change their sleeping arrangements, with Manchester born and bred singer, Liam Gallagher, who would usually spend the night at the five-star hotel, has had to head elsewhere.
Rooms at the five star hotel start at £169 a night, rising up to £4,000 for top room at the hotel.
Although Taylor wasn’t expected to touch down until tonight before her concert started, but the rest of her crew had reportedly headed to the hotel earlier this week.
The star had hired out the hotel for the full week so she could enjoy the Manchester shows with her crew.
“Just over here daydreaming about playing Manchester tomorrow…”
Taylor took to Instagram to share her excitement for the Manchester show, taking to Instagram to post a selfie saying: “Just over here daydreaming about playing Manchester tomorrow…” Which received just shy of 2 million likes.
The Gorgeous singer has been praised for her show, after calling out Kim Kardashian-West and her husband Kanye West with a giant snake.
After attempting to change her persona with Look What You Made Me Do with her iconic line: “I’m sorry, Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, ‘cos she’s dead,” the star continued to release a series of songs unlike any of her previous tracks.
When announcing Camila Cabello and Charli XCX as her supports, Taylor shared her excitement over having a female-led tour and even features the two women on her hit single Shake It Off.
Manchester is the first venue for Taylor’s hit tour before it heads down to London.
Camila and Charli are also taking advantage of touching down in the UK by taking on their individual shows and Camila appearing on stage at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball with Vodafone.
