The Chase returned to our screens this afternoon for the latest instalment of the ITV quiz show.
Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show today for the third episode of the week.
The cheeky presenter was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in-hand.
Mark “The Beast” Labbett was in the hot seat tonight trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
Jessica, Lucy, Callum and Chris took it in turns to take on the cash builder and later went head-to-head with The Beast in an intense round of general knowledge questions.
While Lucy got caught by the quizzer, Jessica, Callum and Chris managed to beat him and each walked away with £13,000 each.
While fans were happy for the trio, a majority of viewers slammed Jessica for her lack of input during the final chase, as she failed to answer a question.
Taking to Twitter, one angry fan penned: “Jessica didn’t contribute anything in that last round and didn’t deserve a penny.”
Another added: “Jessica did f**k all.”
A third joked: “Jessica got a real life “Advanced to go, collect £13k” chance card.”
A fourth moaned: “Jessica frauded 13k. Chris was unreal.”
“The way Jessica is cheering like she contributed at all to the final chase,” wrote a fifth viewer.
The only contestant who failed to make it through to the final chase was Lucy, who managed to upset The Beast during her short-stint on the show.
Host Bradley asked Lucy who she would like to take on the most.
She said: “I’d love to take on the Vixen, she’s not too much older than me, but she is, but I think her knowledge isn’t as good so I would have a good chance with her.”
As The Beast walked out, he swiped: “Good afternoon Lucy, do you want to know how good the Vixen is?
“She is way better than you and I’m going to whoop you for that comment.”
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
