UK rapper Cadet has died in a horror car crash.
His family confirmed the news in a statement on his Instagram page.
They penned: “We the family of Blaine Cameron Johnson known as Cadet (Underrated Legend) would like to share the sad news that during the early hours of 9th February 2019 he passed away as a passenger in a taxi, en route to a performance.
“Right now we the family appreciate your patience and will share with you any information as and when we can. Thanks for your support in advance.
“Love The Johnson Family #cadetcadet #imbuff #underratedlegend #ripcadet.”
His family then switched the @callmecadet Instagram page to private.
The I’m Buff freestyler was set to perform at Wireless Festival this year.
Cadet teamed up with Deno for their hit track, Advice.
He also heavily featured on Da BeatFreakz latest track Pumpy.
The accompanying music video has over 6.5million views on YouTube.
Krept from rap duo Krept and Konan shared his heartbreak over the news on social media.
Posting to his 202k Twitter followers, Casyo ‘Krept’ Johnson shared a sweet child childhood snap of himself and Cadet.
Sharing some heartfelt words alongside the pic, Krept wrote: “My life will never be the same again.
“I love you and will forever miss you. I can’t believe it. I am heartbroken.
“Rest in peace cuz. You finally started getting the recognition you deserved. I’m so proud of you.
“My left lung. Im devastated and broken right now.”
