Vicky was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2015 and continued to work very closely with the show, continuing her reign with Australia’s I’m A Celebrity and briefly on I’m A Celebrity Extra Camp.
News broke that Ant wouldn’t be returning to the show this year, leaving an open spot for a co-host on I’m A Celebrity, while it’s now been confirmed as Holly Willoughby, the brunette beauty still shared her heartbreak.
Talking on their relationship, she said: “Ant and I are mates, I absolutely love him.
“It’s time we gave him some time and space to recover”
“I think I echo a nation’s sentiment when I say I’m devastated he won’t be doing the jungle.”
She added to The Sun: “Ant and Dec are two of my favourite people in the industry as they are so genuine.
“It’s time we gave him some time and space to recover.”
She addressed the pressure that Ant would have dealt with, given that the world was waiting for him to get back on his feet and return to the many shows he works on, including I’m A Celeb.
Vicky admitted that she shared her unless support to Ant during his time of need, adding that she text Ant the minute she found out about his return to rehab.
She continued: “I support him wholeheartedly. When the story broke I was texting him, telling him I was constantly there for him.”
Ant confirmed that he wouldn’t be returning to I’m A Celebrity this year after months of speculation, in order to focus on getting himself better – rather than throwing himself back into work.
Although he suggested a triumphant return in 2019, a new host had to takeover I’m A Celebrity to work with Dec.

Their close friend Holly Willoughby will taking a break from This Morning and stepping in while Ant recovers.
While the show will prove to be very different without the duo, fans were more than happy with Holly stepping in for Ant.
