Warner Bros. has announced the 2023 theatrical release dates for Furiosa, Wile E. Coyote, and The Color Purple. Furiosa will be released in United States theaters on June 23, 2023. Wile E. Coyote will be released in United States theaters on July 21, 2023. The Color Purple will be released in United States theaters on Dec. 20, 2023.
Furiosa is the prequel film to Max Max: Fury Road. Anya Taylor-Joy stars in the film as a young Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road. Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II also star. George Miller is directing the film. Miller and Doug Mitchell wrote the screenplay for the film.
Wile E. Coyote is an animated hybrid film. Dave Green is directing the film. Wile E. Coyote is an animated hybrid film. Acme’ written by Ian Frazier.” Wile E. Coyote “features the the age-old rivalry between the Roadrunner nemesis and his preferred mail order supplier.”
The Color Purple is musical feature “based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.” Blitz Bazawule is directing the film. Marcus Gardley wrote the screenplay for the film, based on the book by Alice Walker. Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray crafted the score for the musical, which includes music and lyrics they created.
