Dr Pimple Popper has exploded a gigantic cyst which burst out pus “like a cheese ravioli” – as her patient video-called her friend.
In a new Instagram video, the dermatologist, real-name Dr Sandra Lee, tries to remove the massive cyst from the patient’s scalp in her clinic in Los Angeles, US.
During the procedure, the woman is calmly video-calling her friend so that they can watch the action taken in place.
Dr Pimple Popper makes an incision on the bulbous growth before pressing hard around it to eject a thick string of pilar cyst filled with textured, white “cheese ravioli” goop.
While the pus is oozing out of her head, another practitioner can be heard asking the woman: “Do you want to move your phone up a little so she can see?”
Sandra picks up the mass gooey pus and asks the patient’s friend via the phone chat: “Can you see that?”
“Yeah! That’s cool,” her friend answers in enthusiasm.
Dr Lee adds: “We have become quite a weird bunch, haven’t we?”
She then moves on to retrieve the cyst’s sac, which can guarantee the cyst won’t be growing back on the same spot.
The expert picks up the large chunk of flesh-like sac from the incision wound and cuts it with a pair of scissors.
Pilar cysts are growths on the scalp that contain excess keratin, which is the protein that makes up your hair and nails.
They are benign, and usually are not painful.
Most of the time they go away without treatment but doctors advise that you should seek help if they start to become painful or uncomfortable.
Dr Pimple Popper, who hosts her own TV show on TLC, previously squeezed a similar type of cyst on a male patient’s head and got sprayed with yellow pus all over her arm when she popped the monster-sized cyst.
