We’re fast approaching the time of year when cold-weather footwear steps in for your easy-breezy sneakers. There are the usual suspects: the L.L. Bean Boots, the all-weather Blundstone, and any other number of fashionable and heavy-soled others. The downside of most sneakers is that they can’t hold up to icy chills, so they get tossed into the back of the closet until spring. Luckily for the sneaker obsessed, Nike is giving two of its beloved silhouettes—the Air Force 1 and the Blazer—a winter-ready upgrade that will let you wear either style straight into the cold ahead.

At this point, the Air Force 1 needs no introduction—it’s as iconic as a Nike sneaker gets. The Swoosh gives the basketball-inspired silhouette a winterized spin with quilted details and a super soft, fuzzy lining that’s sure to keep you cozy. Not to mention the multi-paneled look gives new life to a sneaker that’s usually decked out in one solid color. Similarly, the Blazer gets a quilted upper of polyester panels to make it look like a high-style puffy jacket. It, too, gets a warm and fuzzy liner that extends all the way up the shoe’s interior. The added bonus here is the sneakers are all made with at least 20% recycled materials. The first Blazer is available November 10, with the second Blazer and Air Force 1 dropping in the following weeks.

Who knew dressing up beloved Nike sneakers like puffer jackets would look so good? Luckily for sneakerheads, these winterized kicks mean an exhale of relief, knowing that the heavy boots can stay in the closet for just a bit longer. Leave it to the Swoosh to produce some sneakers hearty and stylish enough to stand in for your standard-issue winter stompers. Just make sure you have on some warm socks, too.
